I had the privilege of speaking about @kursivorganics at the Minnesota Capitol.

Thanks to @bluntstrategies, Rep. Zack Stephenson (D) and Sen. Lindsey Port (D)for giving me the platform to talk after they introduced Bill HF 100 to legalize adult use cannabis in Minnesota.

We have an excellent opportunity to end prohibition. Due to prohibition, Cannabis laws are disproportionately enforced against BIPOC community members, incredible numbers of Americans are put through the criminal justice system, and prohibition promotes an underground market susceptible to violence. I hope we can move forward with laws that help everyday people use cannabis responsibly, expunge cannabis convictions in Minnesota, and help facilitate much-needed relief for life's daily issues.

Farmers Market season is upon us! This summer we’ll be at @eaganmarketfest on Wednesdays, 4-8pm and at @lindenhillsfarmmarket on Sundays, 10am-1pm.

We’ll also be popping up at a number of festivals and makers fairs. Please visit us, sample an oil or two and support our local farmers.

It's been a horrific few weeks for Americans. We've experienced mass shootings of children and teachers in Texas, black folks in New York, and churchgoers at Taiwanese Church in California.

As a mother, aunt, former art teacher, and all-around empathetic human being, I have found my stomach in knots and struggling to get out of bed.

According to a survey taken in 2019, 89% of Americans, despite political affiliations, believe that background checks at gun shows or other private sales are a good idea. Background checks would be a small step toward addressing a huge problem. At this time, we need leaders who rise above retaining political power. When leaders fail to serve the people, that's when everyday folks step in.

From now until the end of the month, Kursiv Organics will donate 100% of the proceeds of all sales to the following nonprofit organizations that are making progress toward sensible gun laws and supporting those affected by gun violence:

• Moms Demand Action
• Center for Gun Violence Solutions
• EVERY TOWN
